Parish giving: how to help during coronavirus

It seems inevitable that our churches are likely to remain closed for quite some time yet and this will be having an effect upon your church’s cash flow.

If you make donations via the envelope scheme, you will (hopefully!) be collecting quite a backlog of filled envelopes, ready for when your church reopens, but this does not help us meet our ongoing financial demands. This may also be a drain on your precious cash resources at a time when we are discouraged from going out to the bank, post office etc. and cash machines only dispense quite large value notes.

In these circumstances, you may like to consider switching to making donations by Standing Order through your bank. This can easily be done by downloading (for St. Andrew’s, Kimbolton) the Standing Order form here on the website, completing it with your chosen date, amount and bank details, and forwarding it directly to YOUR bank for action.

Other churches in the benefice may also wish to take advantage of this idea, and there is a modified form available here for which you will need to obtain from your Treasurer the details for your church’s bank and complete them yourself.

Your Treasurer will appreciate being informed if you decide to make this switch!

Thank you.
