The recent Christmas Tree Festival in St Andrew’s raised a magnificent £1,440 for church funds. Thank you to everyone, but especially to Mary Foster who had to pick up the organisation of the event on account of illness on the team.
An excellent Harvest festival service in All Saints at Tilbrook, with many children taking part; followed by a great Harvest supper in the village hall and a barn dance to end the evening. What could be better
The flower and vegetable displays were much remarked on“Animals made from vegetables” by the children
Kimbolton Village Fayre in and around St Andrews Church on July 16th was a HUGE success. The glorious weather was in stark contrast to last year, when the annual event was all but washed away. This year visitors were basking in the sunshine on one of the hottest days of the year as they perused the stalls in the churchyard or took refuge in the tea tent. Indoors the climate was a little cooler, but the competition was hot in the various categories for a variety of creative arts. There were several classes in the photography competition, and paintings from adults and children of all ages. The displays of flowers and fruit and vegetables were much admired, and a picture produced by the ‘9.37’ toddler group was “highly commended” by the judges. The grand total raised on the day for church funds was a magnificent £1,100+ – the highest total ever. Well done to all involved, and a big thank you to the organising team and their helpers.
