Spaldwick Parochial Church Council (PCC) have been working with Spaldwick Common Ground (CG) and our architect, Mr Peter Slinger on proposals to re-develop our church for our community.

Our vision is to develop a shared multi-use space that is nevertheless still your village church.

A key part of the development is to create an appropriate lease for Common Ground who would “own” and manage the nave of the church, managing it for community events and activities whilst the worship area of the church would primarily move into the Chancel. We would, however, ensure the whole building remains available for large events such as weddings and funerals.
